Description

Thin horizontal lines repeating every 1.3-inch (33 mm).

Most likely causes

During shipment or storage, internal print cartridge components contact one another and may be damaged.
The print cartridge is unused for three or more weeks after the print cartridge is opened and all packaging materials are removed.
The print cartridge is near the end of its life.

Troubleshooting and suggestions

The black cartridge is damaged. Replace the black print cartridge with a new black cartridge.
After replacing the cartridge, print out another set of test pages.
Click to print the test pages.
Look at the new set of test pages. If the issue is not resolved, contact HP.

Recommended parts

may need to be replaced.
Note: It is not necessary to replace the other print cartridges.
