Description
Thin streaks print in halftone (shaded background) areas. These lines may appear in one color, or may appear in any combination of colors (blue (cyan), pink (magenta), yellow, and/or black).

 Most likely causes
This issue may be seen towards the end of the print cartridge's Picture of the print cartridges. Clicking this icon will open a new window. life. Toner may accumulate on the print cartridge's internal components. An uneven level of toner may be distributed onto the paper, causing fine vertical lines. This issue may also occur when using talc paper.

 Troubleshooting and suggestions
  1. The cyan cartridge is damaged. Replace the cyan print cartridge with a new cyan cartridge.
  2. After replacing the cartridge, print out another set of test pages.
    Click   to print the test pages.
  3. Look at the new set of test pages. If the issue is not resolved, contact HP.
 Recommended parts
The cyan print cartridge Picture of the printer cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window. may need to be replaced.
Note: It is not necessary to replace the other print cartridges.
