This test checks if the vertical lines are caused by the cyanprint cartridge Picture of the printer cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window. .

If you have another new or undamaged used cyan print cartridge available, use it as a replacement.

  1. Install the replacement cyan print cartridge.
  2. Print out another set of test pages to check.
    Click   to print the test pages.
  3. Look at the new set of test pages.
    If the vertical lines disappear, the cyan print cartridge that you removed is damaged. Replace the cyan print cartridge with a new cyan print cartridge.
    If the vertical lines do not disappear, contact HP.
