Description
White vertical line(s) or band(s).

 Most likely causes
  • Lint or other foreign object behind the cartridge or inside the printer.
  • The print cartridge is near the end of its life.

 Troubleshooting and suggestions
  1. Remove the cyan cartridge and check for a foreign object (small pieces of paper, or other objects) behind the cartridge Pictures of the behind of the cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window. and inside the printer Pictures of the incide of the cyan missing cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window..
  2. Print out another set of test pages.
    Click   to print the test pages.
  3. Look at the new set of test pages. If performing Step 1 does not eliminate the issue, perform the Cartridge test procedure.
  4. If the issue is not resolved, contact HP.

The print cartridge(s) Picture of the print cartridges. Clicking this icon will open a new window. identified by the above troubleshooting procedures may need to be replaced.
Note: It is not necessary to replace the other print cartridges.
